security

safe & sound.

what we build for you is built to be safe: locked down by default, checked before it ships, your data kept yours, encrypted coming and going, and watched so problems are caught early. here's what that means, in plain words and no jargon.

locked down by default

built secure from the first line

security isn't a feature added at the end. every site and system is built locked down from the start: only what should be public is public, the rest sits behind a door that stays shut unless you are clearly allowed through. logins are compared in a way that gives nothing away, secrets never live in the code, and the browser is told to refuse the common tricks, framing, sniffing, downgrades. you do not have to ask for it or pay extra for it, it is simply how it is built.

checked before it ships

every change is read before it goes live

nothing reaches you unchecked. every change is run through automated security tooling before it ships: one pass reads the code itself for the kinds of flaws attackers look for, another keeps watch on the outside code every modern site is built on and on the live site, flagging a known weakness as soon as it becomes known. a leaked key, a risky building block, a careless line, caught at the door, not after a customer has already met it.

your data stays yours

your data stays yours

whatever your site holds, orders, customers, the numbers that run the business, stays yours. it is never sold and never handed to anyone for marketing. what we build for you runs in an eu region, and where a record needs its own rule for who may read it, that rule is written into the database itself rather than trusted to the code above it. the full detail of what is collected and why is on the privacy page.

encrypted, coming and going

encrypted on the way there, and where it rests

your data never travels in the clear. between a visitor and the site it moves inside the browser's own locked channel, the little padlock in the address bar, so nothing useful can be read off it along the way. and where it sits at rest it is stored encrypted, so a stolen disk or a copied file is just noise to whoever holds it. the keys that unlock it stay on our side, never in the page and never in the code.

watched, and patched fast

watched, so problems are caught early

a site nobody watches is a site nobody notices breaking. what we build for you is set up to be watched while it runs: monitoring and alerts, and limits on requests so no one can hammer a form or a login. if something does start to go wrong, a person sees the signal early, ideally before your customers do, and when a fix is needed it goes in fast, not saved for some far-off release.

recoverable, always

if the worst happens, it comes back

nothing online is ever truly bulletproof, so the honest promise is not “it can never break”, it is “it can always be brought back”. what we build for you is set up with regular backups, so that whatever happens there is a clean, recent copy to restore from. the aim is simple: a bad day should not cost you your work.

this site itself is smaller than that. a booking goes to a calendar, a note goes to oliver, and the waitlist keeps an email address; the privacy page names every one of those and who handles them. none of this makes anything unbreakable, and anyone who promises that isn't being straight with you. it makes the common ways things go wrong far less likely, and the rare bad day far easier to walk back from. if you have a specific worry about how something would be kept safe, a particular kind of data, a rule your industry has, ask. you will get a straight answer from a person, not a policy document.
